In a sense, a tuning is like a search for a piano's ideal sound; the piano's soul.

And when a fine tuner can achieve that, arpeggiated chords sound heavenly and the simplest music played on it can take away the breath.

Tuning for 33 years, John Geist considers each tuning experience both a challenge and a joy.
